Whipping around, Excalibur in hand, the darkness of the room betrayed nothing but the glowing of two corrupted eyes. Returning back to the darkened chamber, Heracles sensed he was not alone. The visions crescendoed as Heracles watched the fall of the Archmage tower, and the arrival of the primordial powers, with a final vision focusing on his own passage through the portal into the Nexus realm. The Gods of Olympus, Asgard, and the Egyptian realms all weaving their own melodies into the song of the Shattered Kingdoms. Frozen in place, every moment played for him the clash of Korthan and Almarand’s swords, putting into motion a symphony of violence and war. In that moment, the Singularity racked Heracles’ mind as he fell to the ground, and visions of time flashed before his eyes. Heracles did not direct himself to touch it, but his arms moved nonetheless, and his fingers stretched around the relic. Turning a corner it came into view, a cosmic hourglass upon an altar glowing gently in the pitch black chamber. In the darkness he continued onwards, the runes of Excalibur his only light. Staircases changed direction, and doors recoiled as he reached out his hand to touch them. Heracles wandered through the blackened hallways for what seemed like centuries.
